@ymb I guess I see NH a bit differently being such a fan of the brand and company history- so it has near mythical properties to me. I also lived in Espoo when they were constructing the building and drove by it nearly everyday on the way to HEL. It was a pretty big deal for me when I was invited to fly over and step inside some ten years later- as it does hold that pretty special place in my heart. :-)
Understated in true Finnish style, sure- but I find much of the architecture quite beautiful and unique inside.
@BUGabundo- Are you going to catch the races? This was the second year in Detroit, and I missed it. To make things even worse, I was only able to make it to qualifying day last year, which was cancelled as they were attempting to setup in 45 mph winds. :-(

Ah- okay, so you're still with them? I didn't realize they have an office in Espoo.
Yeah, Detroit is pretty bad. There's a lot of nice things going on- Red Bull Air Races, the Grand Prix on Belle Isle, etc- and I love my 1st place Detroit Tiger baseball. :-) However, there is an overwhelming percentage of the city that is horribly run down, dangerous and much of it is quite an eye sore. The Detroit skyline can be quite beautiful at times, until you realize that most of the magnificent towers are in disrepair and abandoned. Pretty sad what's happened to Detroit over the decades. Still a lot of nice things going on though, and it's getting better- but this economy has not helped anything recently. :-(

That's all it is too, in my experience- a lot of noise. It's like a million people in one room shouting at each other, or at times- shouting at no one. :-/
Gravity is a pretty slick client, and I really liked using it- but Twitter itself... it's of little use/value to me without a threaded environment to facilitate discussion. Jaiku is a discussion, Twitter is not. I went over there thinking I could use it as such- and I was totally wrong. It has a purpose that works for some, but it's just not for me.

No- we're still here, Norman! (I say "we" as if I didn't abandon Jaiku for months myself when most of my contacts fled. @cybette is probably gonna give me grief for that! :P)
-
Sure do- http://tinyurl.com/nasr3c. Stumbled across it at Mark's (thenokiablog.com) YouTube channel.
You concern me. Why do you say I should wait until I touch one? Would you still say the same thing with knowledge that I'm a veteran Maemo and NIT user?

@adewale Is it valid to file a 'bug' for lifestreaming- as it was just a feature that was dropped, correct? Happy to do so though- I enjoyed it, mostly for Flickr updates.
-
Yes, you are absolutely correct @map- how can I be forgiven for my abandonment of Jaiku and be welcomed back with open arms? :-)
-
Speaking of less functionality- is Lifestreaming ever going to re-appear in Jaiku? Really miss that feature, and it seemed to be the point that my circle of contacts dropped out of Jaiku. I suppose it could have just been coincidentally timed with the near-death experience and subsequent open sourcing that the service suffered at the hands of its new parent company- but that was when my stream became a ghost town and I took off myself. Trying to replace the void left by my beloved Jaiku with Twitter was just... well, it was stupid.
